MS Excel - how to create a new line in the formula bar? 28 Apr 2016

MS Excel - how to create a new line in the formula bar? Is there any keyboard shortkey? I've tried Ctrl+Enter combination but that did not work

Answer:

you should use Alt+Enter shortcut key combo, however:
in formula bar, it only works if current text already has "text wrap" formatting option ON
however, in the cell that is in the middle of the spreadsheet, it works right away, AND it also turns "text wrap" ON for that cell right away if it was OFF
